    7. Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction (Middle Grades 6-8)

    Administrative Relationship: Reports to Principal

    Qualifications:

    1. Minimum of Master's degree in Education with valid Georgia PSC certification in educational leadership.

    JOB GOAL:

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Coordinates HCCA career pathway advising in coordination with high school counselors
    2. Prepares students prior to administering any career assessments
    3. Administers and interprets formal online career assessments –Georgia Career Information System/Ga College 411
    4. Assists students in making career pathway decisions through a battery of inventories, assessments, and aptitude tests
    5. Assumes responsibility for registering and advising students
    6. Organizes parent and community orientation meetings focused on career pathways and programs available for students
    7. Creates a marketing/communication plan to inform teachers, students, and parents on career pathways
    8. Develops information brochures for all career pathways and alignment with academic studies 9. Fosters ongoing collaboration among academic, CTAE, and technical college teachers
    9. Assists students in organizing job shadowing and other learning activities for the students 11. Organizes career speakers, career days, and career fairs
    10. Coordinates student registration
    11. Informs staff, parents, and students about career development activities in the school system
    12. Provides professional development opportunities for teachers/staff regarding career development, Georgia Career Information System, GA College 411, Teachers as Advisors, and other career development programs
    13. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of HCCA Programs
